The client: Vintage fashion retailer (USA)

The brief: Creating a new brand identity for a client in vintage fashion re-sale, based in North Carolina. Designed in bright, inviting colours with a retro, 70s twist, they had a very clear vision, & wanted to work in contrast to many of the popular shorthand visual tropes associated with vintage Americana.

Approach: We experimented thoroughly with this identity, working through numerous concepts to land upon a streamlined, yet nostalgic interpretation of ‘vintage’. We wanted to generate interest & excitement by using bright colours grounded by deeper midtones. The typographic logo was designed with luxury brands in mind, to reflect the quality of couturiers to be found on their rails.
